In May we started writing this song, playing around with the basic pattern whilst sitting in “The Sunset Lounge” near the barge where we live..
Once we had the song finished we had the idea of doing a little fun video with some of Kate’s puppets; Lucy taking the lead vocal, King on guitar, Dorothy on piano & Animal on percussion..
We had a bit of a nightmare with it as we found out after the video shoot, that the CD player we were using for playback was running at a different speed than the actual track, so we spent a week trying to sync the footage to the vocals.
Finally we decided to reshoot the whole thing (we won’t make that mistake again!) using my Tascam field recorder for playback (as i knew this would play at the right speed!)
The editing was much easier now the footage could sync up (not surprisingly!) & the end result is here:
