NEW FOR SPRING 2021 - SEASON ONE
Episode One of Gathered Threads was released at the end of September with Kate retelling her story “The Odd Couple”. This was recorded binaurally with “Basil Harris“, our binaural head & Michael created a soundscape as an underscore.
We are asking five actors to collaborate with us for Episodes 2 – 6. An original piece of text created by the actor will be filmed simply with a black background, either at your own location or in Studio 6 Music, Witham. AT SWEFN’s EDGE will then compose an underscore for each piece.
Each episode will be launched through the spring individually on our website & social media platforms.
FILMING THE MONOLOGUE
- Each actor will have the opportunity to record binaurally & incorporate Basil into their performance should they wish to do so.
- If filming the piece yourself we ask that it be shot in landscape with only head & shoulders visible (or waist up). Should your film demand a different viewpoint/ shot this could be agreed through discussion.
- We ask that any outtakes or alternative versions are also sent to us, so that we have the possibility of incorporating them in some way into the finished product if appropriate.
- We envisage each monologue to be no more than 10 – 15 minutes in length.
- There is no set theme – you are free to use prose or verse as long as it is your own original material.
THE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT
Though no money is available as payment, we see this as a collaboration between two creatives to celebrate our skills & reach a wider audience during these difficult times. Obviously each actor will be at liberty to share the film themselves however they see fit, as long as all credits remain on the film as agreed.
There will be a contract for each actor, to protect the interests of both parties.
